Katie graduated in 2020 from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a Bachelors in Family Social Science. She obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas in 2023.
Prior to working at Vanda, Katie worked at Park Nicollet in their reproductive mental health division. There she gained experience with all parents who are experiencing mental health challenges related to pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, and pregnancy/infant loss.
She takes a client-centered and strengths-based approach to helping people grow and change. She recognizes and respects that individuals have unique experiences and perspective that shape their lives. She leads with compassion, empathy and often some humor when working with clients
Katie works to create a warm and open space for people to be able feel comfortable to show up for themselves as they are. She enjoys working with individuals who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, boundary setting, identity exploration, and perinatal mental health.
Katie is also trained in EMDR therapy.
Outside of work, Katie loves spending time with her dog, family, and friends, singing, dancing, and traveling.
