Ashley Walters is a LICSW and New England native who brings a down to earth, relatable and human approach to therapy. She understands that life can be messy, overwhelming and complicated. She creates a space where clients feel comfortable and supported while also offering honest feedback, practical perspective, and humor along the way.
Ashley works with adults with trauma, anxiety, depression and those who are experiencing life transitions, women's issues and relationship stressors. Her work focuses on helping clients make sense of their experiences, building a life that feels in alignment with their goals and values and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Ashley is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution focused and client-centered approach.
Ashley earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Eastern Connecticut State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. She has almost 15 years of experience working in community mental health, private practice and providing clinical supervision.
Ashley provides telehealth therapy, offering flexible and convenient scheduling.
