Emily Staples is a Clinical Social Worker with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. She believes that seeking therapy is a courageous step toward finding direction, understanding and skills to address your concerns. She aims to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental space in which challenges can be explored together at a pace that feels right for you. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages, with particular interest and experience in treating concerns related to perinatal mental health, parenting, relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Emily specializes in Perinatal Mental Health, offering support throughout all stages of parenthood including planning for a baby, pregnancy, postpartum, adjusting to parenthood, transitioning back to work, or coping with grief, loss, or a traumatic birth experience.
Emily incorporates a blend of approaches to meet the unique needs of each person, often utilizing mindfulness, strengths-based, holistic, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques. She values each person’s unique experiences, wisdom, and culture. Emily is LGBTQ affirmative and celebrates all identities and family structures. She would be honored to join and support you on your journey toward healing.
