I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to work alongside clients as we explore challenges, build on strengths, and move toward a greater sense of well-being. Our collaboration is built on trust, respect, empathy, and the understanding that you are the expert on your own life. I have experience working with individuals that come from a diverse range of ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and life experiences.
My clinical interests center around anxiety and depression, ADHD, relational/family stressors, caregiver support, identity exploration, and pre- and post-natal mental health. I draw from a variety of approaches, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Additionally, I have a special interest in supporting people through life’s transitions—whether that’s a new role, a major change, or the uncertainty that comes with the unexpected. I am also drawn to grief work. In a society that can be impatient or uncomfortable with grief and loss, it is a gift for me to walk alongside clients as they process their unique experiences and find new ways of moving forward.
Those who work with me can expect a warm and engaging presence along with a healthy dose of humor because I believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel formal to be meaningful.
When I’m not at the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, fostering dogs, reading, and playing dishwasher Tetris.
