Sees Adolescents (13-18 Years), Adults, Couples and Families
My approach is gentle, eclectic, person-centered and collaborative. You are the expert of yourself and sometimes it's helpful to have someone to listen to understand. I like to provide validation, exploration, and support. First timers to therapy and those taking the leap to try out therapy again seem to appreciate my style. Whether you are rediscovering yourself, going through a stressful time, wanting to process trauma, etc., I'll be here alongside you. I consider the family system, childhood/caregiver attachment, parenting styles, generational trauma, systemic racism, larger society, etc. and all these impacts when working with others.
Areas that I specialize in include: working with individuals exploring their identity, gender expression, people who have experienced trauma, family preservation, as well as depression, and anxiety. I also enjoy working with parents, single parents, and adoptees. Building trust in the therapeutic relationship is very important to me.
I am licensed in the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
