Emily graduated in 2021 from St. Olaf College with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Family Studies. She obtained her Masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2023.
Emily has professional experience working in a variety of settings, including: providing therapeutic in-home services, inpatient psychiatric experience, school-linked mental health services, and several intensive outpatient settings, including a pediatric day treatment program.
Emily practices therapy through a strengths-based and client-centered approach. She believes that building rapport and having a strong foundational relationship is at the core of working with both clients and families.
Emily enjoys working with clients between the ages of 3-25 years old. She provides individual, group, and family counseling for her clients. Emily utilizes a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, including: play therapy techniques, art therapy techniques, and cognitive behavioral (CBT) therapeutic interventions.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her dogs: Kodiak and Sturgill. She also enjoys hiking, baking, and reading.
