Michelle is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She holds a PhD in Counseling and is a Nationally Certified Counselor with over 15 years of experience working in behavioral health. Michelle works with adults with a broad range of concerns including addictions and substance use, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, abuse, health problems, care giving, aging, career concerns, relationship struggles, anger, grief and loss, spiritual struggles, and questions about how to live a meaningful life with purpose. In addition Michelle works with creative professionals who travel and tour for a living that need confidential support that works with their schedule. She also has experience working with professionals in law enforcement and corrections.
Her style is open and friendly, she is a good listener, and works to meet you where you are in your journey. Communication, respect and understanding of all people as well as compassion and positive regard are the heart of her interactions. Your treatment plan will be designed to meet your needs, understand your expectations, and the opposite of a stigmatizing cookie cutter approach. Her training is broad so she can offer a wide range of tools to help you including cognitive behavioral, narrative, existential, brief, faith based if requested, positive, and strength based approaches.
