Sees Adults
Leah is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She enjoys working with adults 18 and over, both individually and in group settings. She has spent more than ten years working in various levels of mental health care from residential treatment to intensive outpatient programs to individual therapy. Through these various levels of care, she has gained experience in working with anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, grief and loss, relationship challenges, eating disorders, struggles with self esteem/self worth and trauma.
Leah believes people hold the answers to many of their own questions but may not have a safe space to explore these. She strives to provide this safe space for individuals of all backgrounds. Regardless of where clients may be on their healing journey, Leah meets them there with compassion while challenging them to grow into their healthiest self. She utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment in order to best meet people where they are at in the moment. Common modalities used include mindfulness-based approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, among others. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy to address past trauma.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Luther College and a Master’s in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, FL.
