Shiromi is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor for Counselors-in-training. She serves school-age children through adults. Shiromi believes in the power of choice; making a choice is practicing courage. She employs approaches to empower clients to live the healthiest lifestyle possible. Clients receive the opportunity to live with calm and courage. Shiromi has over a decade in providing therapy, education and presentations. Shiromi offers several therapy modalities tailored to her clients' choices: Psycho-analytic Psychotherapy, traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Social Learning Family Therapy and Christian Counseling. Shiromi seeks to honor her clients as who they are, not what they are. Shiromi's special interests include Bipolar spectrum disorders, trauma/traumatic experiences, deep depressive moods, and personality disorders.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Theology from Concordia University St. Paul and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Adler Graduate School in Minnesota. Shiromi completed the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program through the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society & Institute.
