Julie Knudson is a Licensed School Counselor (LSC). She has worked as a school counselor for 9 years serving ages 10-18. Her passion is working with kids ages (7+), adolescents, young adults, and families.
Establishing a safe environment through a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to Julie, and she believes each individual has unique needs, therefore using a variety of therapeutic techniques is key. Julie will often utilize client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches. She believes people are resilient and can find personal success when they believe in themselves, and have the resources needed to flourish.
Julie specializes in working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, emotional-behavioral concerns, LGBTQ+, and general transition/adjustment needs.
Julie has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from St. Cloud State University.
